#lenbachhaus #19th century landscape

Yesterday was a fantastic day! We had a friend visiting us in Munich.
First we drank Espresso at the Cafe Ella. Nice place. Good coffee.
Then we visited the Lenbachhaus. It just reopened some weeks ago after some remodeling. It has a stunning architecture now combining the historical part with a modern part. It houses a fine art collection. Naturalistic landscape paintings from the 19th century, expessionist paintings from the artist group “The Blue Rider” and some contemporary art. I liked the colorfull expressionist paintings best. The ones you see above is from Wassily Kandinsky and Alexej von Jawlensky. I will post some more pictures later.
Afterwards we had tea at the Cafe Klenze. The interiour is very british and they have a wide range of different teas. I had Chocolate Tarte with the tea.
And in the evening we were invited at some friends who served us a gourmet four-course dinner.
